The details of the project implementation

The project implementation is organised in 4 macro-phases, along which 3 transversal macro-activities are run.

The project implementation is organised in 4 macro-phases:
1) The preparation phase, in the initial months, aimed at providing the project with a solid background to start.
2) The methodological phase, from the beginning and until June 2016. It includes the methodological discussion, the final users’ consultation and the production of the map of contents. A large-scale survey is conducted among students in the middle of this phase: their involvement in the core moment of the methodological discussion setting the foundations for the future app testifies a student-centred approach, which is a guarantee that the app will really meet the users’ needs and expectations.
3) The production phase, from July 2016 to January 2018. It includes both the development of contents and their technological implementation. The first 4 months of this phase will be dedicated to the re-contextualisation of existing contents. Then the production of learning materials and their integration into the app will start, following a 3-step process in parallel for the 4 languages: a) content design; b) multimedia design and c) integration of content in the Web app. This phase will end with a complete prototype version of the app. A demo version of the app will be used in the first multiplier events planned in this phase. Dissemination activities will be carried out to prepare the way for the future exploitation of the app, once implemented.
4) The testing and revision phase, from February 2018 to the end of the project, will lead to the delivery of the final product. A restricted group of students will be selected as pilot users with special regard to their motivations. Beginners will be offered the possibility to attend the E-LOCAL course with the assistance of a tutor before the start of the piloting phase. The analysis of pilots’ feedback will lead to the revision of both learning materials and technical aspects. This phase will end with the release of the finalised product and it promotion in a series of dissemination events.
All along these four macro-phases, 3 transversal macro-activities will be run:
a) The management and monitoring of the project which is aimed at the smooth running of all project activities.
b) The quality assurance of project processes and results which is aimed at guaranteeing that the project respects the scheduled work plan and budget.
c) The dissemination of the objectives (initial phase), of the activities (during the project) and results (final phase of the project) and the exploitation of results (final months of the project).
